The private cluster of Innovation and New Technologies of Andorra (ACTinn) has awarded the first ACTinn seal to the Fashion 4.0 project this Monday, February 26. The Fashion 4.0 working group, created under the ACTinn cluster, by four members, founders of the association, has received the favorable votes of the ACTinn Board of Directors, not only regarding the ACTinn Seal but also with an endowment of 5,000 euros.
The cluster has mainly valued the fact of approaching and popularizing new technologies with the Andorran public, facilitating access and demonstrating the usefulness of some production tools such as 3D printers, laser cutters and modeling tools. The project's forecast is that this laser cutter, as well as the other technological tools, will be available to Andorran citizens in a manufacturing laboratory, the first FabLab in Andorra.
At the same time, workshops and courses will be organized for businessmen, entrepreneurs and students to discover the numerous possibilities offered by these technologies, such as the production of products and models. Fashion 4.0 also aims to contribute to the socio-economic development of Andorra through the creation of jobs, training centers, but also the renewal of the Andorran commercial offer within the fashion sector.
The ACTInn Seal 2018
The seal is awarded to projects that will be developed with the support of ACTinn and values the innovative aspect, the applicability of the projects in the Andorran territorial scope in the sense that they contribute to the Principality of Andorra becoming an innovative country and the coherence in terms of the capacities to carry out the projects in relation to their scope. There is no limited number of projects that can have the ACTinn Seal, which is why the Board of Directors of ACTinn will accept all those projects that have a positive assessment. The call for proposals to obtain the ACTinn Seal and the financial allocation will be renewed in 2018 in order to support other innovative projects with strong potential.
